A Lady in the Cupboard (Een dame in de kast) is a living comic strip. Three actors perform humorous, strange and imperturbable figures who walk in and out of large cupboards.
Familiar situations are given an absurd twist. A Lady in the Cupboard is a never stationary merry-go-round of objects, images and characters.
Greet Vissers and Jo Roets created A Lady in the Cupboard in 1992. The production met with the instant approval of press, public and programmers. A hit among infants, too, it toured small venues in Belgium and abroad (France, United States of America, Croatia, etc.) for many years. Laika has decided to take Een dame in de kast out of the cupboard again. Performed by a multicultural cast in cooperation with the KunstZ ensemble.
